NEW YORK (AP) — Hot Rendezvous rallied to beat Saichi Sweepin by a length Friday in the $64,000 allowance feature for New York-bred fillies and mares at Aqueduct.
Apprentice Manuel Franco was aboard for trainer Gary Contessa as the 3-year-old won for the third time in the last four races. The time was 1:12.30 for six furlongs on the track labeled good.
Hot Rendezvous paid $10.40, $5 and $2.90. Saichi Sweepin returned $4 and $2.90, and Bird House, the 2-1 favorite, paid $2.50 to show.
