WILMINGTON, N.C. (AP) — Richard Ross scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Old Dominion to a 69-57 win over North Carolina-Wilmington on Saturday.

Keenan Palmore contributed 16 points and Jordan Baker added 10, including a 3-pointer midway through the second half that sparked an 11-2 run to break-open the tight game and give ODU (5-7) a lead they would hold. The Monarchs shot 50 percent from the field but continued to struggle from beyond the arc, hitting just 3 of 9 from 3-point range.

UNCW (6-7) trailed just 24-22 at the half and retook the lead on a Luke Hager layup and then padded it with a Freddie Jackson layup to make it 35-32 with 13:06 left. But the Seahawks couldn’t hold their advantage as ODU stormed back and pulled steadily away.

Cedrick Williams led UNCW with 11 points and seven rebounds, while Hager added 10 points.
