MARTIN, Tenn. (AP) — Onochie Ochie scored 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds as Southeastern Louisiana prevailed 80-76 in a close contest against Tennessee-Martin on Saturday night.
Joshua Filmore and Antonnio Benton each added 12. Benton led the Lions with 11 rebounds.
Southeastern Louisiana took a slim lead early in the first. But UT-Martin kept pace, giving Myles Taylor an opportunity in the final two minutes before the break to score eight points and put the Skyhawks on top, 45-44.
The back-and-forth continued after halftime with the lead trading hands 13 times before the Lions (4-6) put it away with a pair of Joshua Filmore free throws and an Antonio Benton layup in the final seconds.
Southeastern Louisiana hit 52 percent from the field and 76 percent from the line overall.
Taylor scored a career-high 34 points to lead the Skyhawks (5-10). Terrence Smith and Justin Childs had 12 each.
