HOUSTON (AP) — Houston quarterback Case Keenum and Denver receiver Wes Welker are both inactive as expected for Sunday’s game.

Keenum was ruled out on Wednesday and the Broncos said Welker wouldn’t play on Friday. Keenum has a thumb injury and Welker will miss his second straight game after sustaining his second concussion in four weeks on Dec. 8.

Matt Schaub, benched in favor of Keenum after six games, will start for Houston. Also inactive for Houston are tight end Garrett Graham, receiver DeVier Posey, safety Jawanza Starling, guard Alex Kupper and tackle Andrew Gardner.

Other inactive players for Denver are quarterback Zac Dysert, running back C.J. Anderson, cornerback Kayvon Webster, guard Chris Kuper, defensive end Derek Wolfe and defensive tackle Sione Fua.
