DETROIT (AP) — Detroit Lions cornerback Bill Bentley was being evaluated for a head injury after a scary collision in the second quarter against the New York Giants on Sunday.

Bentley was trying unsuccessfully to prevent a touchdown pass to Jerrel Jernigan when Detroit teammate Louis Delmas appeared to catch him in the head with his arm. Bentley was down for a while, but he was able to walk off the field with some assistance. He will not return to the game, leaving seldom-used backup Chris Greenwood to fill in at cornerback.

Giants guard Brandon Mosley, meanwhile, was questionable to return after breaking his hand in the first quarter, and New York also lost backup tight end Adrien Robinson to a sprained knee.
