POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (AP) — Khallid Hart paced Marist with 21 points in getting past Pennsylvania 76-62 on Sunday.

Penn’s fortune improved little in the second half moving no closer than 14 points as Marist (3-9, 0-2, Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) controlled the inside game and won the rebounding battle 45-32, including 8 more offensive rebounds than Penn could pull down.

The Quakers had no players in double figures as Marist held Tony Hicks_team leading scorer with 16.1 ppg_to just 9 points. Darien Nelson-Hicks, their leading rebounder, did not play. Fran Dougherty led Penn with 9 points and 9 rebounds.
