Letter: Sting operation exposes theft

The Columbian

Hallelujah, they finally figured out what we’ve known for a very long time. The baggage handlers have been helping themselves to the items in your bags that we’ve checked on the planes. (ABC News aired a hidden camera video of airport baggage handlers stealing.)

How many times and for how many years have you had things missing from your bags when you get home and unpack? Then you call the airlines to get a “sorry.”

Now maybe we can be a little more trusting. Don’t count on it.
