Dartmouth cruises past D-III Lesley 85-47

HANOVER, N.H. (AP) — Alex Mitola hit back-to-back 3-pointers to jump-start a Dartmouth scoring barrage as the Big Green sailed past Division III Lesley 85-47 on Tuesday.

Dartmouth (7-4) coasted to its fourth straight win, shooting 60.7 percent (37 of 61), and all 11 players scored. John Harris led with 12 points on 6-for-6 shooting, Eli Harrison added 11, Connor Boehm 10, and Mitola nine. The victory was coach Paul Cormier’s 199th in Division I.

A Harrison layup with 11:09 left gave Dartmouth its largest lead, 46 points. Dartmouth outrebounded Lesley 38-28 and forced 20 turnovers in the first meeting between the schools. Dartmouth outscored Lesley 50-24 in the paint and 29-4 off turnovers.

Branden Padgett led the Lynx (2-8) with 11 points in 12 minutes against Lesley’s first D-I foe this season.

Gabas Maldunas had only five points but led the Big Green with three steals and four of Dartmouth’s seven blocked shots.
