BOSTON (AP) — Cedrick Lindsay scored 18 points, including back-to-back baskets down the stretch, to lift Richmond to a 70-66 win over Northeastern on Tuesday.

Just after the Huskies (3-10) used a 7-0 surge to tie the game with 2 minutes left, Lindsay hit a pair of layups sandwiched around a turnover. Marco Banegas-Flores, who scored six of his eight points in the closing minutes, pulled Northeastern within two with 22 seconds remaining, but the Spiders (10-4) sweated the game out as Trey Davis and Terry Allen each hit one of two free throws.

Richmond was leading 64-57 with less than 4 minutes to go. Then Banegas-Flores sank four free throws with Demetrius Pollard’s 3 in-between and the game was tied at 64.

The Spiders led 40-28 at the half, shooting 57.7 percent to Northeastern’s 37.5.

Scott Eatherton led Northeastern with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Pollard had 19.
