The Port of Vancouver will hold a public tour starting at noon on Feb. 21, the first of eight planned for 2013.

The free, two-hour tour will showcase the largest transportation project in the port’s 100-year history, the West Vancouver Freight Access rail project, and show how a diverse range of marine cargoes are handled.

Tour reservations are required and can be made by calling: 360-693-3611 or sending email to: info@portvanusa.com.

Tour participants must carry government-issued photo identification and no cameras are allowed on marine terminals. The public tour will begin at the port’s administrative building at 3103 N.W. Lower River Road, Vancouver. Visit http://www.portvanusa.com/ for information on other tour dates.
