MIAMI (AP) — Right-hander Jon Rauch has agreed to a $1 million, a one-year contract with the Miami Marlins.

The 6-foot-11 Rauch went 3-7 last year for the New York Mets with a 3.59 ERA in 73 games. The Marlins are his eighth major league team.

In addition to his salary, Rauch can earn $750,000 in roster bonuses: $250,000 each for 90, 120 and 150 days on the active 25-man big league roster.

For his career, Rauch is 42-38 with a 3.80 ERA and 62 saves in 541 games. To make room for Rauch on the 40-man roster, the Marlins designated outfielder Bryan Petersen for assignment Tuesday.
