OHSU offers Ask the Health Experts lecture series

Oregon Health & Science University is launching another session of its “Ask the Health Experts” seminar series.

The lectures feature specialists in each field who share their expertise about developments in treatment, prevention and detection of some of today’s top health concerns. Lectures are followed by a question-and-answer session with the experts.

All lectures begin at 7 p.m. in the OHSU Center for Health & Healing, third floor, 3303 S.W. Bond Ave., Portland.

Here’s the lecture schedule:

  • Feb. 12: “Help, my baby has a flat head! What does this mean?” with Dr. Anna Kuang.

  • Feb. 13: “Change your heart disease genes” with Dr. Michael Shapiro and Kent Thornburg.

  • Feb. 20: “When is surgery right for clogged coronary arteries?” with Dr. Howard Song.

  • Feb. 27: “Heart care for Type 2 diabetes” with Drs. Scott Chadderdon and Farahnaz Joarder.

  • March 6: “Scoliosis and the adult spine” with Dr. D. Kojo Hamilton.

  • March 12: “Can your sleep affect your teeth?” with dentist Kevin Kwiecien.
