ASTORIA, Ore. — Clatsop County authorities say a 26-year-old man has been accused of shooting his mother.
The man called 911 about 4 a.m. Thursday and met deputies when they arrived at the house near Highway 202.
Deputies said the 57-year-old victim had a serious wound in the torso but was conscious. She was taken to the hospital.
The sheriff’s office says the names of the suspect and his mother were withheld until family members are notified.
