Fire damages outbuilding behind Brush Prairie home

A Saturday evening fire did major damage to an outbuilding in Brush Prairie, but did not spread to a nearby home, according to Clark County Fire District 3.

The fire was reported at 6:55 p.m. at 12310 N.E. 151st St. in Brush Prairie.

Capt. Jason Mansfield crews brought the fire under control at 7:14 p.m. and prevented the blaze from spreading to the house, which was about 20 feet away. No injuries were reported.

Units from Fire District 3, Clark County Fire & Rescue, the Vancouver Fire Department and the Clark County Fire Marshal’s Office responded.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The 400 square-foot building was owned by Brian and Rosa Wilson, according to county property records.
