Joan’s Choice wins Aqueduct’s Moro Stakes

NEW YORK (AP) — Joan’s Choice led all the way Saturday, beating favorite Isn’t He Perfect by four lengths in the $73,500 Moro Stakes at Aqueduct.

Jose Ortiz got his first stakes win, guiding the 9-5 second choice to his sixth win in 23 starts. The 6-year-old gelding trained by Rick Violette ran the 1 1-8 miles in 1:51.12.

Joan’s Choice paid $5.70, $3.30 and $2.50. Isn’t He Perfect, the 6-5 choice, returned $2.70 and $2.10. Ea paid $2.30 to show.
