ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Ella Ellis and Kyle Wilson scored 12 points apiece and Army rallied from a seven-point, second-half deficit, then held on to beat Navy 56-55 Saturday, winning its third straight Patriot League road game for the first time in program history.

With the Black Knights (12-13, 5-5) trailing 43-36 with 12:12 left, Ellis hit consecutive 3-pointers, then Wilson scored five points during a 14-5 run pushing Army ahead for good with 7:35 remaining.

However, after Ellis’ layup with 2:56 left made it 56-50, the Black Knights couldn’t score again.

Tilman Dunbar’s jumper and Kendall Knorr’s three free throws with 43 seconds left got the Midshipmen within a point. Wilson and Dylan Cox missed layups, giving Navy one final chance, but Dunbar missed a last-second jumper.

Worth Smith’s 14 points led the Midshipmen (7-19, 1-9), whose 59-50 win over Army on Jan. 20 was their only victory in 14 contests.
