LOS ANGELES (AP) — Stephen Holt scored 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting to help Saint Mary’s send Loyola Marymount to its 10th consecutive loss, 61-50 on Saturday night.

Jorden Page added 12 points, including two 3-pointers, for the Gaels (22-5, 11-2), who swept their season series with Loyola Marymount and stayed 112 games behind No. 5 Gonzaga for first place in the West Coast Conference. Gonzaga won 71-61 at San Francisco.

Anthony Ireland had 19 points for the Lions (8-18, 1-12) but was just 2 of 11 from the floor, part of a 30 percent team shooting effort. Ashley Hamilton had 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Loyola Marymount took a 7-4 lead 4 minutes into the game, but Saint Mary’s then reeled off 14 unanswered points and wasn’t seriously threatened again. The Gaels led 33-21 at halftime and by as many as 21 in the second half before a late Lions rally.
