CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago Blackhawks have matched the NHL record for season-opening point streak.

Chicago and Vancouver were tied at 3 after regulation on Tuesday night, ensuring the Blackhawks at least one point in the first 16 games of the season. They began the night with a 12-0-3 record.

The NHL-best Blackhawks equaled the mark set by the Anaheim Ducks in the 2006-07 season. The Ducks started 12-0-4 that season and went on to win the Stanley Cup.
