BOSTON (AP) — Freshman Olivier Hanlan scored a career-high 26 points and Eddie Odio had a career-high 11 rebounds on Tuesday night to lead Boston College to a 69-58 victory over Maryland.
The Terrapins (18-8, 6-7 Atlantic Coast Conference) had won three of their last four games, including a victory over then-No. 2 Duke on Saturday. Logan Aronhalt scored 26 points, making seven 3-pointers — both season highs — but no other Maryland player scored more than nine.
Boston College (12-14, 4-9) had lost three of four games, including a one-point loss to Duke. But the Eagles held Maryland without a basket for a span of 7:15 early in the second half and then scored 12 straight points to turn a one-point deficit into a 61-50 lead with 1:46 to play.
The Eagles made 16 straight free throws down the stretch to protect their lead.
