UPDATE: Power restored to 2,400 Clark Public Utilities customers

Short outage hit northeast part of metro area

Clark Public Utilities crews have restored power to 2,400 customers in the vicinity of Northeast Ward Road and 162nd Avenue.

The outage was reported around 1 p.m. A crew was working in the area when a breaker lock opened, causing the power outage, said Erica Erland, a utility spokeswoman.

All power was restored by about 2 p.m.
