Published: February 20, 2013, 4:00pm

Friends of Trees is hosting a bike-powered tree planting 8:45 a.m. Saturday in west Vancouver. Since no autos will be used, additional bike trailers and cargo bikes are needed in order to transport trees, tools and materials. Volunteers will meet at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 426 E. Fourth Plain Blvd. Friends of Trees will provide breakfast and coffee, along with gloves, tools and instructions.

A potluck lunch follows the planting around 1 p.m.
