Cohen leads Davidson past Montana 93-87 in OT

DAVIDSON, N.C. (AP) — Jake Cohen scored 28 points and De’Mon Brooks added 18 points to lead Davidson to a 93-87 win in overtime against Montana on Saturday.

Chris Czerapowicz and JP Kuhlman each finished with 11 points for the Wildcats (21-7), who extended their win streak to 12 games. Tyler Kalinoski had 10 points.

Kareem Jamar made two free throws for Montana to tie the game at 76-all with 18 seconds left, which ultimately sent the contest into overtime. In OT, Davidson never trailed, taking an 85-80 lead on Chris Czerapowicz’s two free throws with 3:15 left to play.

Montana cut the score to 87-85 when Jamar made a jumper with 2:23 remaining. But Tom Droney scored on a layup and Czerapowicz made two free throws to push the lead to six points for the Wildcats.

Jamar scored 28 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and dished out six assists for Montana (19-6).
