EASTON, Pa. (AP) — Tony Johnson scored 29 points to lead Lafayette past Lehigh 79-71 Sunday, giving the Leopards a sweep of their Patriot League season series.

Johnson made 10 of 12 shots, including 5 of 5 from 3-point range, and also made 4 of 4 free throws for the Leopards (15-14, 8-4), who now hold the tiebreaker over the Mountain Hawks (18-8, 8-4), with whom they share second place.

A 3-pointer by Johnson with 4:38 remaining broke a 64-64 tie, and he added another trey 1:04 later for a 70-64 lead. Two baskets by Dan Trist stretched the lead to 74-64 with 1:33 to play.

The Mountain Hawks led 57-47 with 10:46 left after a basket by Holden Greiner, who scored 27 points. But a 3-pointer by Levi Giese started a 14-2 Lafayette run.

Trist finished with 14 points and Giese 10 for Lafayette.
