Letter: Good still found among strangers

The Columbian
Published: December 31, 2012, 4:00pm

After learning that my son’s Vancouver home had been robbed of all their Christmas and wedding presents (there was a family wedding), we discussed the many bad people in our society. Then I told the story during a recent lunch at a local restaurant.

First, I received a box of candy for just greeting them with “Merry Christmas.” Then, as we were leaving, the waitress said we did not have to pay for our lunch. Someone had paid it for us.
