North Dakota State beats UMKC 63-44

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — TrayVonn Wright had 17 points and 10 rebounds and North Dakota State never trailed in beating UMKC 63-44 Saturday night.

Taylor Braun scored 14 points and Marshall Bjorklund scored 11 for the Bison (13-3, 4-0 Summit League), who led 28-19 at halftime and by as many as 23 points in the second half.

Estan Tyler was the only player to score in double figures for the Kangaroos (4-12, 1-4) with 10 points.

Kansas City shot 33 percent and made just 13 field goals in the game. North Dakota State hit 44 percent from the field.

Earlier Saturday, North Dakota State’s football team repeated as FCS champions, beating Sam Houston State.
