Boys basketball: Mountain View 55, Fort Vancouver 47

Shane McCauley was a factor around the basket at both ends of the court as Mountain View turned back Fort Vancouver, 55-47, on Tuesday in a Class 3A Greater St. Helens League contest.

McCauley scored 16 points, hitting 7 of 8 field goals. He was also instrumental on defense, blocking three shots and changing others when the Trappers tried to score inside.

Four players accounted for all of the Mountain View points. Taylor Drey led the way with 19 points and was 8 for 8 from the free-throw line, and Akash Sanghera had 12 points.

Matt Delisle led Fort Vancouver with 19 points.

MOUNTAIN VIEW — Shane McCauley 16, Luke DuChesne 8, Taylor Drey 19, Akash Sanghera 12, Alex Torson 0, Nolan Biggs 0. Totals 19 (5) 12-18 55.
