Gill leads Pacific past UC Santa Barbara 80-62

STOCKTON, Calif. (AP) — Tony Gill scored 17 points and Pacific hit 13 3-pointers to defeat UC Santa Barbara 80-62 Thursday night.

Travis Fulton and Ross Rivera added 11 points each for the Tigers (8-7, 2-1 Big West), who attempted 28 3-pointers and committed just five turnovers.

Alan Williams led Santa Barbara (5-10, 1-3) with 22 points and 12 rebounds, and Kyle Boswell added 15 points.

Gill, who was 6 for 6 from the field and 3 for 4 from the free-throw line, hit three straight shots in the early going to put Pacific in front for good at 12-9. A 14-3 run that featured two 3-pointers from Markus Duran and another from Trevin Harris extended the lead to 32-18 as the Tigers built a 38-25 halftime lead.

Duran hit another 3 with 14:52 remaining to cap a 12-3 run and put Pacific comfortably ahead 50-33.
