CARSON, Calif. (AP) — Juninho is joining the Los Angeles Galaxy permanently.
The Major League Soccer team signed the 24-year-old midfielder to a multi-year deal on Wednesday after he spent the past three seasons with the Galaxy on loan from Brazilian club Sao Paulo.
Juninho has 13 goals and eight assists in 87 regular-season games with the Galaxy, which he joined before the 2010 season. Last season, he played in all six of the team’s postseason games during its run to a second straight MLS Cup title. He was an All-Star in 2011.
The Galaxy open training camp on Jan. 21, with the season opener set for March 3.
