Mason nets 23 as Niagara beats Siena 87-64

LEWISTON, N.Y. (AP) — Antoine Mason netted 23 points as Niagara picked up its third consecutive win, beating Siena 87-64 in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action Thursday night.

Mason hit 8 of 14 from the field, while Juan’ya Green added 21 points and T.J. Cline 13 for Niagara (10-8, 6-1). The team shot 54.2 percent (32 of 59) from the field and hit 12 of 24 3-point attempts, paced by Green’s 4-of-6 showing from beyond the arc.

The Purple Eagles are now 7-1 at home this season and 7-2 over their past nine games.

O.D. Anosike scored 15 points with 10 rebounds for the Saints (4-14, 2-5), who had their two-game winning streak snapped. Siena has now lost 13 of its past 14 road MAAC games.

Niagara led 40-34 at halftime, but opened the second half on a 27-7 run that included four 3-pointers and put the Purple Eagles ahead 67-41 with 13:33 remaining.
