Naburgs, Perez pace Stetson over N. Kentucky 71-59

DELAND, Fla. (AP) — Joel Naburgs and Chris Perez each scored 17 points as Stetson picked up its fourth straight win, defeating Northern Kentucky 71-59 in Atlantic Sun Conference action Thursday night.

Naburgs also dished out eight of the Hatters’ 18 assists. Aaron Graham and Adam Pegg added 13 points each for Stetson (8-10, 5-2).

Chad Jackson led Northern Kentucky (4-10, 2-4) with 15 points, and Ethan Faulkner had 12. Freshmen Jack Flournoy and Tyler White, who each set career highs with 18 points in the Norse’s 67-53 win over Lipscomb on Jan. 11, scored six points each and shot a combined 4 for 18.

Stetson’s 71 points were the second most allowed by Northern Kentucky this season — the Norse lead the Atlantic Sun with 53.4 points allowed per conference game.

The Hatters trailed 31-27 at halftime, but opened the second half with a 14-4 run and led the rest of the way.
