WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) — New Purdue coach Darrell Hazell is filling out his staff.

Former Florida State assistant head coach-linebackers coach Greg Hudson will be the new defensive coordinator. Three assistants will follow Hazell from Kent State to Purdue: Jon Heacock will continue to coach cornerbacks, Marcus Freeman will continue to coach linebackers and Jafar Williams will continue to coach running backs.

Hazell also has named former Boston College assistant Jim Bollman as his offensive line coach and former Virginia Tech assistant Kevin Sherman as receivers coach.

Tommy Cook will be supervisor of football operations and Doug Davis will be head strength and conditioning coach. Both worked with Hazell at Kent State. Casey Nuss, Purdue’s former supervisor for football operations, will move into a role developing high school relations.
