WSUV chancellor to give speech to economic group

Mel Netzhammer, Washington State University Vancouver’s chancellor, will deliver the keynote address at a luncheon presented by the Columbia River Economic Development Council.

The event is scheduled to start at 11:30 a.m. Feb. 21 at the Hilton Vancouver Washington, 301 W. Sixth St., Vancouver.

Netzhammer was recently appointed to oversee the 351-acre campus and its 140-member faculty. He will speak about universities in the 21st century and answer questions on affordability, accountability and access, among other issues.
