JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) — Trey Finn scored 17 points and Arkansas State held Louisiana-Monroe to a season low in scoring during a 63-39 victory Saturday night.

Ed Townsel added 13 points for the Red Wolves (11-7, 5-4 Sun Belt), and Brandon Peterson had 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Louisiana-Monroe (3-12, 2-7) got 11 points from Jayon James and 10 from Millaun Brown. The Warhawks struggled in all aspects of their shooting, making only 2 of 9 free throws and 1 of 10 3-pointers while hitting 37 percent of their shots from the floor.

Louisiana-Monroe, which also had 19 turnovers, matched its season-low point total from a 68-39 loss to Southern on Dec. 13.

The Warhawks went without a field goal for just over nine minutes midway through the second half. Arkansas State led just 36-33 following a layup from R.J. McCray, but started a 15-1 run that pushed the lead to 51-34 with 5:32 to play.
