Long Beach State defeats Cal State Fullerton 81-71

FULLERTON, Calif. (AP) — James Ennis scored 23 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, Keala King had 12 points and 11 rebounds and Long Beach State beat Cal State Fullerton 81-71 Saturday night, extending their winning streak to five games.

Ennis was 6 of 12 from the field. King also had a team-high seven assists.

Deng Deng scored 15 points, and Mike Caffey had 14 for the 49ers (10-8, 6-1 Big West).

Long Beach State led 36-30 at halftime in a game with 16 lead changes. The 49ers shot 47 percent from the field for the game, while the Titans shot 39 percent. The 49ers outrebounded the Titans 51-31.

Sammy Yeager led Cal State Fullerton with 22 points. D. J. Seeley had 17 points and a team-high nine rebounds. Deuce Johnson added 10 points. Kwame Vaughan had seven assists for the Titans (10-8, 3-3).

The 49ers lead the all-time series with the Titans 61-43.
