MORAGA, Calif. (AP) — Beau Levesque scored a career-high 20 points to lead Saint Mary’s to its fourth straight win, 81-48 over San Diego Thursday night.
Brad Waldow added 15 points for the Gaels (16-4, 5-1 West Coast). Mitchell Young scored 10 points and Matthew Dellavedova had 11 assists for Saint Mary’s, which saw 11 players score in the game.
The Gaels never trailed and roared to a 42-19 halftime lead, with Levesque nearly matching the Toreros’ team output by scoring 14 points. Saint Mary’s shot 54 percent in the game, held a 38-19 rebounding advantage and outscored San Diego in the paint 50-20.
Mike Davis, Johnny Dee and Cameron Miles had eight points apiece to lead San Diego. The Toreros (11-10, 4-2) have dropped back-to-back games after winning five in a row.
