Majok, Berry lead Ball St. past Miami (Ohio) 82-62

OXFORD, Ohio (AP) — Majok Majok scored 21 points and Jesse Berry had 20 points to lead Ball State to an 82-62 win over Miami (Ohio) on Saturday.

Chris Bond finished with 16 points, seven rebounds and five steals for the Cardinals (8-10, 2-4 Mid-American Conference), who snapped a four-game losing streak. Jauwan Scaife had 14 points and seven assists.

With a 58-54 lead, Ball State put the game away with a 12-0 run that was capped by Majok’s tip-in with 2:38 left to play. The Cardinals pushed their lead to as many as 22 points to dominate the second half against the RedHawks (7-11, 2-4), who have lost three straight games.

Will Felder led Miami with 14 points, Quinten Rollins scored 12 and Reggie Johnson added 10.

Ball State shot 57.7 percent from the floor (30 of 52) for the game while holding the RedHawks to 44.2 percent (23 of 52).
