BOSTON (AP) — Dom Morris scored 19 points to lead six Boston University players in double figures as the Terriers defeated Maryland-Baltimore County 81-75 Saturday for their third consecutive victory.
A 3-pointer by Maurice Watson Jr. started a 7-0 run that gave the Terriers (11-10, 5-3) a 71-63 lead with 2:04 remaining.
The Retrievers (4-16, 2-5) got back to within four, 75-71, on Ryan Cook’s 3-pointer with 20 seconds left, but two free throws by Watson 4 seconds later increased the margin to six.
UMBC led 25-15 with 7:09 until halftime, but Boston University scored the next 10 points, with Morris and John Papale getting two baskets each.
