BOSTON (AP) — Craig Breslow’s two-year contract with the Boston Red Sox calls for the left-hander to receive at least $6.25 million.

The 32-year-old will get salaries of $2,325,000 this year and $3,825,000 in 2014 under Thursday’s agreement. The Red Sox have a $4 million option for 2015 with a $100,000 buyout.

Breslow made $1,795,000 last year, when he was 3-0 with a 2.70 ERA in 63 games for Arizona and Boston, which acquired him July 31.

He had asked for $2,375,000 in salary arbitration and had been offered $2,325,000, the smallest gap among the 41 players who swapped figures with their clubs Jan. 18.
