Texas-Pan American beats Okla. Panhandle St. 76-68

EDINBURG, Texas (AP) — Aaron Urbanus scored 18 points and pulled down nine rebounds, and Texas-Pan American scored the game’s first 18 points and cruised past Division II foe Oklahoma Panhandle State 76-68 on Tuesday night.

Urbanus was 7 of 9 from the floor and also dished out five assists. Brandon Provost added 16 points, including three 3-pointers, and Jesus Delgado scored 14 for the Broncs (11-11), who were 8 of 13 from beyond the arc but just 18 of 43 from 2-point range.

Krys Randolph scored 26 points, including an 8-of-12 performance from 3-point range, for the Aggies (4-16). Damar Hill added four 3s and 16 points.

Texas-Pan American rode its opening 18-0 run to a 43-31 halftime lead. The Aggies pulled within 58-56 on a Randolph 3-pointer with 9:20 to play, but the Broncs scored the next six points and weren’t threatened again.

The game was the first-ever meeting between the schools.
