Vancouver police and Clark County sheriff’s deputies are searching for a man suspected in more than four armed robberies within the past three weeks in Clark County.
The suspect typically enters a retail location, either displays a weapon or tells the lone clerk that he has a weapon and demands cash before leaving on foot, Clark County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Duncan Hoss said.
The man is a suspect in a robbery at the Orchards 76 station, 10411 N.E. Fourth Plain Road about 9 p.m. Wednesday. The man reportedly displayed a handgun and left with an undisclosed amount of cash. Police say the same man is being sought in connection with a robbery at Vancouver tanning salon Palm Beach Tan on Jan. 22, a Cricket Wireless store on Jan. 25, and a coffee stand in Hazel Dell on Jan. 21, Hoss said.
The suspect is described as a white male between 20 and 30 years old, between 5 feet 8 inches tall and 6 feet tall with a slender build, blue eyes and having a goatee or unshaven. In all of the robberies, Hoss said, the suspect has worn blue jeans and a hooded sweatshirt.
