Cleveland, Rivers to speak at business luncheon

State Sens. Annette Cleveland, D-Vancouver, and Ann Rivers, R-La Center, will talk state politics on July 10 at a Hazel Dell/Salmon Creek Business Association luncheon.

The public is invited to attend but must register ahead of time.

The luncheon opens at 11:45 a.m. at the event center adjacent to the 40 et 8 Bingo Hall, 7607 N.E. 26th Ave. The meeting will begin at noon and end at 1 p.m.

Rivers and Cleveland will provide an update about the 2013 legislative sessions. Also, county Auditor Greg Kimsey and Commissioner Steve Stuart will make brief remarks about their bipartisan ClarkForward initiative and the freeholder process for creating a county charter.

The cost to attend the luncheon is $10 a person.
