NEW YORK (AP) — Miss Valentine rallied up the rail to beat Beautiful But Blue by a half-length in the $100,000 Princess Dixie Stakes for New York bred fillies and mares at Belmont Park on Wednesday.
Joel Rosario was aboard the 2-1 favorite for trainer Christophe Clement. Miss Valentine, a 5-year-old, earned her ninth win in 21 starts. She paid $6.90, $3.60 and $2.60.
The time was 1:37.16 for the mile on the fast track.
Beautiful But Blue, the 5-2 second choice, returned $3.30 and $2.40. Lady On the Run paid $2.60 to show.
