Orioles acquire RHP Feldman from Cubs

CHICAGO (AP) — The Baltimore Orioles have acquired right-handed pitcher Scott Feldman from the Chicago Cubs.

The Cubs dealt Feldman and catcher Steve Clevenger in exchange for right-handed pitchers Jake Arrieta and Pedro Strop as well as two international signing bonus slots from the Orioles.

Feldman signed a one-year contract with the Cubs and went 7-6 with a 3.46 ERA in 15 starts this season. He is 46-50 with a 4.66 ERA in 219 major league games over nine seasons.

Arrieta is 20-25 with a 5.46 ERA in 69 major league appearances over the last four seasons with Baltimore (2010-13). Strop was 5-2 with three saves, 24 holds and a 2.44 ERA last season. He has battled a back strain this year, going 0-3 with a 7.25 ERA.
