CHICAGO (AP) — The Baltimore Orioles optioned infielder Danny Valencia to Triple-A Norfolk to make room for Wednesday night’s starter Scott Feldman.

The right-hander was scheduled to pitch against the Chicago White Sox — a day after he was acquired in a trade with the Cubs. Feldman came in with a 7-6 record and 3.46 ERA.

Valencia was batting .230 with four homers and eight RBIs in 21 games for the Orioles.
