Letter: Take comfort in our freedom

The Columbian
Published: July 3, 2013, 5:00pm

The most disappointing thing about this time of year is reading all the letters in The Columbian complaining about fireworks. Unlike so many others, I am actually comforted by the sounds of fireworks going off at night. Maybe it’s because I know those bangs and explosions aren’t real guns being fired and real bombs being detonated. I bet there are plenty of people in this world that wish they could say the same.
