HOQUIAM — The Washington State Patrol says a Grays Harbor County sheriff’s patrol car collided head-on with another car Monday night on Highway 109 north of Hoquiam.

The patrol says the deputy’s car crossed the centerline and collided with the oncoming car.

A 30-year-old Aberdeen woman driving the other car was taken to a hospital in Aberdeen.

The 55-year-old man driving the patrol car was not injured but was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

KBKW reports the highway was closed four hours for the crash investigation.
