Teens Sing Fourth at Fort Vancouver celebration

Hudson’s Bay — There were vocal fireworks as well as aerial ones when the Fort Vancouver National Trust hosted its annual fireworks display. Twenty-seven teens initially competed at Beacock Music in May, and 10 finalists hit the stage at the Fort on July 4. In the end, the winner of the Sing Fourth Teen Vocal Competition was Michael McCormic, a sophomore at CAM Academy, who crooned “Feeling Good” by Michael Buble (and will sing at 4 p.m. Aug. 4 at the Clark County Fair’s Columbian Stage. Second place went to Rachel Hargett, a senior at River HomeLink, and the third-place winner is Annie Barton, a senior at Kingsway Christian School.
