In an attempt to help avert a summer shortage, Clark County Fire District 6 is hosting a blood drive from noon to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 23 at Station 61, 8800 N.E. Hazel Dell Ave.

People can sign-up for a time slot at http://www.redcrossblood.org/make-donation-sponsor code: ccfd6

For the second year, the Red Cross is experiencing low blood and platelet donation levels for June and early July, according to the fire district.

Those who donate on that day will be given a ticket to the Clark County Fair. Walk-ins are welcome, or you can schedule an appointment by emailing Sarah Mitchelson at sarahm@ccfd6.org.
