WSUV hires new chief for academic affairs

Renny Christopher has accepted the position of vice chancellor for academic affairs at Washington State University Vancouver.

Christopher, 56, most recently served as associate provost at California State University, Channel Islands. She will begin the new job Aug. 5.

As the chief academic officer at WSUV, Christopher will be responsible for academic development, coordinating academic programs, advancing campus diversity efforts and developing infrastructure to support the growth of quality research and teaching.

Christopher will be paid $190,000 annually.
