OSHAWA, Ontario (AP) — Katie Rowan led the United States to the women’s lacrosse World Cup title, scoring eight goals and adding two assists in a 19-5 victory over Canada on Saturday.
Danielle Etrasco and Katrina Dowd each scored three goals, and Dowd added three assists. Caitlyn McFadden had a pair of goals, and Lindsay Munday, Katie Schwarzmann and Sarah Albrecht also scored.
Mandy Friend and Megan Takacs each scored twice for Canada.
